Welcome Hometown Heroes

We had a great time today in Old Town Steamboat, decorating the statue of Carl Howelsen with Olympic medals. From left: 3-time silver medalist Johnny Spillane, gold- and silver-medalist Billy Demong, Olympian Taylor Fletcher, silver-medalist Todd Lodwick and (seated) silver-medalist Brett Camerota.

Silver Medalist Johnny Spillane

On the eve of the Olympics, Nordic Combined skier Johnny Spillane, a friend of our family since he was a little boy, signs a copy of Steamboat Magazine, featuring him and his teammates. Johnny went on to win a silver medal at the Games.
